  2. PRESENTER: Jeong Jaeyeon
    EVALUATOR: Ji Hyun Park

It must have been difficult to present with that voice :’( Hope you’re well now!

    OVERALL CONSIDERATIONS:
In general, the requirements of the assignment were met in that the presentation was an informative one, had a topic of interest to the speaker and the audience, was organized simply, had two main points (recipes), and lasted 5 minutes. A stronger and more personal connection to the speaker would have made the presentation more meaningful.

    SUBSTANCE:
The main ideas, the two recipes, were laid out pretty clearly and in a direct manner. Using hand gestures for certain actions and using visual aids to show the ingredients, steps, and result would have been helpful. However, the steps were explained clearly. More imagination and freshness to liven up the presentation could have taken the presentation to the next level.

    STRUCTURE:
The speech was easy to follow overall and the main parts were easy to identify. Transitions and signposts were used to tie the presentation together, a few more might have been helpful. Elaborating more in the introduction and conclusion would make the speech even better, especially by adding an attention-grabbing element to the introduction and a memorable element to the conclusion.

    DELIVERY:
The bright smile and positive attitude are really nice, but there was a lot of smiling and giggling which were distracting. It would have been great if the camera angle was not from the side but the speaker was clearly visible. Eye contact could be improved since most of the presentation was read and the eyes did not make much contact with the audience or the camera. The language was clear, simple and direct, easy to understand. The pace was also good and the voice was calm. Speaking a bit louder and more expressively would be very helpful, but was probably difficult this time due to the speaker’s voice.
