Title : The person I admire

    1. What strong points does the speaker have?
The overall speech was clearly delivered. Tone and diction were good.
    2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject?
I think the subject was well delivered with reasons why I admire Steve Jobs.
    3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation?
Yes. The speech was well memorized and almost didn’t make any mistake.
    4. Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly?
Yes. The overall speech was clear and audible. There was no difficulty understanding.
    5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion?
There were definite opening with some questions and saying, organized body, and a clear conclusion with summary and quote.
    6. Please comment on the speaker’s use of notes/eye contact.
I prepared note cards but didn’t rely on it too much, and the eye contact was good enough.
    7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech?
I should have used more hand gestures and have an interaction with the audience (It seems that asking question at the opening was the only interaction I had with the audience).
    8. What did you like about the presentation?
I liked the speed of the speech, because I tried hard to overcome my habit of speaking too fast.

She has a strong delivery. Her voice is clear and easy to understand.
    2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject?
Since her voice was clear and audible, the audience didn't seem to have difficulty in knowing the speech subject.
    3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation?
I believe so. She sounded like she knows well about the life of Steve Jobs and his personalities.
    4. Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly?
Yes, and I think this is the strongest point about her speech.
    5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion?
Yes, she used a question for an opener, a quotation as a closer, and a signal “to wrap up” to begin her conclusion, which made the structure more organized.
    6. Please comment on the speaker’s use of notes/eye contact.
She used note cards effectively, but I think she made little eye contact with the audience.
    7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech?
She looks a little nervous and serious, I think she will look much better if she feels comfortable and relaxed next time.
    8. What did you like about the presentation?
I liked the tone of her voice and I think she uses pause very well in delivering her speech. I also liked her use of quotation to end the speech.
